Women's Own Adventure


We specialise in adventure travel for active women, with an emphasis on cultural interaction, nature and wildlife experiences. Each of our adventures are packaged to include local and domestic transportation, experienced local guides, accommodation, meals as detailed, sightseeing, activity and entry fees as outlined in itinerary and some include airfares. We specialise in small groups sizes.

Our prices are based on twin share accommodation and you will be matched up with a room mate. If you do want a single room to yourself, we can arrange that on most trips for an additional charge. Please let us know if you have any special dietary or other needs.

We are members of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) and partner only with reputable and experienced travel operators who show respect for the environment as well as a cultural sensitivity.

THAILAND, CYCLE THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

Northern Thailand is where landscape meets culture, for those who wants to discover old Thailand. With mountains, rivers and forests Chiang Mai and the surrounding province provide some of the best biking, and scenic routes, in all of Thailand. The north of Thailand also boasts a distinct culture, as can be seen by visiting local hill tribes, tasting Khao Soi or visiting the province’s glorious ancient temples. There’ll be plenty of opportunities for taking photos and just taking in the wonderful scenery. With a vehicle accompanying the group, you choose how much riding you wish to do, it can be as long or as short as you like.

NEW ZEALAND WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE

Our Journey is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks and is without doubt the most diverse. It combines bush clad walking, sub alpine traverses and a breathtaking coastal section, with fantastic views over alpine downs, and out to the wild West Coast of the South Island.  Many people consider the Heaphy Track to be the greatest of New Zealand's nine Great Walks. SPAINISH PILGRIMS TRAIL, WALKING THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO

The Camino de Santiago de Compostela, also known in English as The Way of St James, is a collection of old pilgrimage routes which cover all Europe. They all have Santiago de Compostela in north west Spain as their final destination. For more than 1000 years pilgrims have been walking along the Camino de Santiago.

The main route traditionally starts in St Jean Pied de Port and finishes in Santiago de Compostela about 780km later, after traveling the breadth of Northern Spain. (In Santiago you can collect your Compostela).

Our journey is through the most picturesque parts of the camino, starting from Leon, one of the greatest cities in Spain & finishing in Santiago, The Camino (or Way of Saint James) starts on the central high plateau and crosses the hilly lands of Galicia.
