This 5 day innovative walk is like no other tour!

Your walking journey has been designed to provide a remote wilderness walking experience in the Kimberley. Enjoy an optional heli-hiking experience in the ancient Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park, a World Heritage Site and one of the most striking wonders of Western Australia. Then head to El Questro, located in the East Kimberley, showcasing an outstanding diversity of landscapes from rugged sandstone ranges to rainforest pockets, stunning gorges and palm-fringed waterholes. Come with us on a wonderful journey as we explore the spectacular beehive domes of the Bungles. Part of the mystique of the Bungle Bungle range is that although it has a rich Aboriginal culture for over 20,000 years, it was not until 1879 that the first white Australians saw the brilliance of this hidden jewel.
 

No need to carry heavy overnight packs or cook your own food, this walk has been designed for those looking for a multi day walking experience with all the creature comforts.

    A Truly Supported Walk
    One of the biggest draw cards of this tour, is that our guests won’t be asked to carry their clothes or overnight bags for the entire tour, these will be transported for you each day. You will carry as little as your water bottle, camera and lunch each day!

    Unique Heli Hiking Experience
    Our journey includes a spectacular heli hiking experience into the Bungles to explore the upper reaches of Piccaninny Gorge. To experience this area, would normally take 3 days hiking with overnight camping supplies in a heavy pack. Including one day to reach the mouth of the gorge, then another day to explore the gorge and then another day to retrace your steps and hike back to the start. With our journey we will access this area in a day with our helicopter dropping us at the mouth of the gorge, allowing us the day to explore the best areas of this enormous gorge, that cuts through the Bungle Range. The helicopter will then pick us up for a unique return journey.

    NO Camping to endure! Stay in Deluxe Accommodation across the Kimberley
    The Bungle Bungles is a remote region with camping the norm in this area. However  you will be staying in modern cabins set amongst the bushland. After a day’s walking, enjoy a drink from the bar out on the deck or cool off with a refreshing swim in the accommodation’s pool – the only pool in the Bungles! At El Questro we stay in modern River or Garden View Bungalows. With live entertainment every night, you’ll love the atmosphere of this traditional Cattle Ranch.

The Bungle Bungles are a remote region and as such most visitors that come here have to camp. With Life’s An Adventure you’ll enjoy the comfort of staying in modern cabins with en-suites. Enjoy the delights of this property including a large outdoor deck and bar to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a large pool to cool off after a day’s walking. At night enjoy hearty dinners in the restaurant.

2 nights El Questro Station
 

River or Gardenview Bungalow Rooms
 

El Questro is a 700,000 acre cattle station in the Eastern Kimberley Region. We’ve chosen this location due to it’s character, atmosphere, charm and stunning nearby walks. During your stay at El Questro Station, you’ll stay in the best accommodation, enjoying modern Riverview or Gardenview bungalow rooms with ensuites and balconies. Breakfasts and dinners will enjoyed in the Verandah Restaurant overlooking the Pentecost River. Featuring wonderful local produce, enjoy fine dining featuring local produce such as wonderful Barramundi.
 

Fabulous restaurant meals featuring local produce:
Meal time is a special time on tour. Not only does it provide the opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers in a relaxed environment, it also allows you to sample regional specialties. At El Questro Station enjoy fine dining in the Verandah Restaurant overlooking the Pentecost River. The restaurant has a wonderful selection of local produce including barramundi and succulent beef.

How fit do I need to be to do this walk?

Is there a portered walk option?


All our guests will have their overnight bags transported, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the walk instead of struggling with a large backpack.




So what will I need to carry?


All our guests will just need to carry a small day pack with water, camera and any small personal items you want access to during the day. You won’t even need to carry your lunch as your guide will carry the groups lunch.




Do you cater for different dietary requirements?


Yes we can provide for any special dietary requirements. When booking please specify your special dietary requirements with as much details as possible. If you require specific meals such as gluten free, vegetarians that don’t eat fish or vegan, other than our standard menu you can either bring your own supplements or a $50 surcharge will apply.




If I am travelling on my own do I need to pay a single supplement?


If you are happy to twin share a room with another solo traveller, there is no extra charge. (If we can’t find another solo traveller to share with, you will have your own room at no extra cost). However if you want to request a room specifically for yourself you will be required to pay an additional fee, enquire for details.
